Friday is the TV premiere of Whatever It Takes, the three-part documentary series about Max Verstappen. Last Monday the premiere took place at the Tuschinski Theater in Amsterdam, where Jos Verstappen was present.

Despite the ten victories Max Verstappen has achieved so far, Red Bull Racing has not yet been able to provide him with a car capable of winning titles. Jos Verstappen hopes this will be the case in the near future.

"Max gets the most out of the car, that's all he can do. Of course we all want him to be able to fight for the world title, but the great thing is to fight for it. Let's hope Red Bull can do that next year," said Verstappen in an interview with Motorsport.com.

Was Red Bull Racing the right choice?

Did they make a mistake choosing Red Bull Racing in 2015 when Mercedes was also interested?

"No," says Verstappen. "Based on the information we had at the time, that was definitely the right choice." This is mainly because Red Bull Racing could immediately offer a Formula 1 seat, where at Mercedes it was not a guarantee.

The major changes to the regulations scheduled for 2021 have been postponed for a year. How realistic is it to be able to close the gap to Mercedes next year?

"I think the changes to the regulations for next year are already pretty big on aerodynamics. The rest of the car needs to be adapted to that, so they need to get it right mainly aerodynamically. Of course we also hope that Honda will bring something with them, then we will look strong again", says Jos Verstappen.
