According to Christian Horner, Max Verstappen injured himself during the previous Grand Prix in Bahrain after his crash into the tyre wall after trying to avoid Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez in the opening lap. If we are to believe the Red Bull Racing team boss, however, Verstappen has now completely recovered. He also discusses the rumors about Sergio Perez.

The 23-year-old Dutchman is therefore no longer bothered by anything and will not be hindered while driving. Verstappen himself did not mention a foot injury last week.

Perez heading for Red Bull?

At Sky Sports, Horner is asked about the latest news about Perez and Alexander Albon. According to the 47-year-old team boss, Red Bull are doing everything possible to get the best out of Albon in Abu Dhabi. No decision has yet been made, but Perez is certainly an option for 2021 next to Max Verstappen.

"Everybody in the pit lane was thrilled to see him win that Grand Prix. He's been around Formula 1 for a long time. He was a popular winner. He's having a great season," said Horner. "Of course I congratulated Perez. Sergio has shown very well what he is capable of. Everyone was happy with it. He has to keep doing what he is doing."

Tequila with Horner

During the Sakhir Grand Prix, the Red Bull team slept in the same hotel as Perez. Horner indicates that he drank tequila (a Mexican drink with alcohol) in the evening after the race.
