Perez and Magnussen start at the back in Abu Dhabi after severe grid penalties

Sergio Perez will have to repeat his trick from last week in Bahrain if he is to win again. The Mexican had to start from behind with Charles Leclerc after an early touch and then grab his first ever victory in Formula 1. The Racing Point driver will even start from the very back of the grid on Sunday due to a grid penalty.

The 30-year old driver will get a new internal combustion engine, a new turbo and also the MGU-H will be replaced. This means that Perez will have to start from the back. His lead over Daniel Ricciardo is thirteen points in the World Championship, so Perez will have to finish in the points himself, hoping that the Renault driver doesn't finish on the podium.

Kevin Magnussen has also got a grid penalty. Haas F1's man will have his electronics and battery replaced. As the Dane doesn't know how to get out of Q1 very often, he too will probably have to start from the last row of the grid.
