Juan Pablo Montoya will return to his old team McLaren in 2021. The Colombian was racing for the team in 2005 and 2006 in Formula 1 and will compete for the IndyCar team in 2021 during the famous Indy 500.

McLaren sees an old acquaintance

Montoya has a rich history in motorsport. The young Colombian impressed at a young age by winning the Indy 500 in 2000 when he first took part in the Indy 500. In 2001 it earned him a seat in Formula 1 with Williams after he had previously won the Formula 3000 and FedEx Championship Series.

Montoya also makes an impression in Formula 1. In six seasons in Formula 1, he drove for the biggest British brands in Formula 1: McLaren and Williams. With Williams, Montoya competes seriously for the title twice. In 2002 he was on pole seven times and in 2003 he won two races. However, there will never be a title.
