Full results FP3: Verstappen pushes Mercedes with super fast laptime

Max Verstappen seems to thoroughly dislike the short version of the Bahrain circuit, but that does not mean that he is not quick here. On Friday Mercedes seemed to have the upper hand, but a fast time from the Dutchman in the third free practice puts Valtteri Bottas and George Russell under pressure.

AlphaTauri surprise of the weekend?

Behind Verstappen we also see some interesting names. Pierre Gasly shows just like yesterday that AlphaTauri is a serious player this weekend and although Kvyat only came in twelfth, his times during the first half of the session were also competitive.

Ferrari is still struggling. Both drivers can be happy with a place in the top fifteen and although Vettel stopped spinning thanks to a different set-up, the team is now going to replace its power source as a precaution.
