Verstappen not happy with Red Bull: "There’s no point to argue a lot in a race"

Max Verstappen was not happy with Red Bull Racing's decision making during the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Dutchman is of the opinion that more pressure could have been exerted on Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen will talk to his team to also hear their side of the story.

"Yeah, but I think it doesn’t make sense to talk about it now," said Verstappen in the press conference about the criticism he voiced against his team's strategic choices. The 23-year-old was not happy with his third pit stop and felt that the driving should have been more aggressive. "I will talk with them. There’s also no point to argue a lot during the race."

Verstappen wants to continue

The Red Bull Racing driver does not feel like dwelling on it for a long time either. "Wait ‘til the end of the season then everything is anyway a bit done, right, so we just have to learn from it, try to understand why. I will, of course, talk to them about it and of course, I will hear their reasons behind it," said Verstappen.

At the start of the race, Verstappen complained about the on-board radio that he felt like a kangaroo. A few hours later he explained that comment a little further. "Yeah, I don’t know. It was just hopping around a lot on throttle, on low speed and medium speed," said the Dutchman, who does not know whether the problem was at the front or the rear. "I don’t know. It was very odd. It did get better throughout the race but yeah, it didn’t feel so nice at the beginning."
