Is Kvyat already saying goodbye to AlphaTauri? "The deal was for 2019 and 2020"

Daniil Kvyat's days at AlphaTauri seem to be coming to an end, although it has not yet been officially confirmed that the Russian will not be driving for Franz Tost's team next year, everything seems to indicate that Pierre Gasly will get a new teammate next year. For Kvyat it will therefore be a search for a place in F1 or another racing class, but he is not worried about that yet. 

"A lot of people have already called me and of course there is a lot of interest from different sides", explains Kvyat to Motorsport.com. "For now, I know I can choose what I will do next year."

The Russian explains that his appointments with AlphaTauri will end after this year and that a new challenge is possible.

Enough options for Kvyat

"My deal with AlphaTauri, then Toro Rosso, was that I would do 2019 and 2020 for them. We will see how it goes. However, after Abu Dhabi, regardless of everyone's decision, I decide for myself what I am going to do with my life."

So Kvyat really wants to be in control and not wait for other teams to make a decision.

"It is always nice to know that there is interest from other people. I keep in touch with some and Nicolas (Todt, his manager. ed.) is in contact with some. It could certainly become interesting in the future. I don't have a preference at the moment and mainly focus on the races that will take place in the coming weeks," says Kvyat.
