For the second consecutive session, Max Verstappen topped the timesheets as he set the fastest time in FP2 in Turkey. Charles Leclerc and Valtteri Bottas completed the top three with Lewis Hamilton just behind in fourth.

After the bizarre opening session which saw the drivers struggling with grip, FP2 was more straightforward as the drivers adjusted to the freshly swept track in Turkey. Verstappen led a Red Bull one-two in the opening session and he was back on top this afternoon, as his time of 1:28.330 enough to put him on top of the pile.

Charles Leclerc put in another solid display to bring up P2. The Monegasque has scored 40 of Ferrari's last 42 points and he showed his credentials again by bringing out the second-fastest lap. It wasn't all gloom for his teammate, as Vettel ran as high as fourth at one point before ending the session in P8.

Mercedes continued to adapt to the slippy circuit as Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton finished P3 and P4 respectively. Hamilton can secure the Drivers' Championship this weekend but it was Bottas who was the faster man on Friday.

It has been a tough time for Alex Albon with his place under increasing scrutiny, but he put in a good shift on Friday. After his earlier P2 in FP1 he finished P5 in FP2 but led for a large portion of the session and was consistently competing with the top times. Daniil Kvyat (P6), Pierre Gasly (P7), Sebastian Vettel (P8), Lance Stroll (P9), and Lando Norris (P10) completed the top ten.

Earlier in the day, it was confirmed George Russell would likely take a grid penalty for taking new parts. The Brit had a spin at turn one midway through the session, and went on to finish in last place.
