Szafnauer is expected strong results before the end of the 2020 F1 season

At Racing Point they are looking forward to the rest of the season. Team boss Otmar Szafnauer has looked at the remaining circuits and says the RP20 should be very good.

The Szafnauer team is in a bit of a form dip, mainly thanks to the performance of Lance Stroll. The Canadian was struggling for a while with the consequences of a coronavirus infection and hasn't picked up a point since the race at Monza. Perez did a lot better, but even with him, you could see that he sometimes had a hard time against the other teams in midfield.

"We will be very strong there"

The team boss says to FormulaRapida that he is looking forward to the two races that will be held on unknown tracks, the GP of Turkey and the GP of Sakhir (the outer ring around the circuit of Bahrain). "We think the RP20 is very suitable for Turkey, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi. So we think we will be very strong in the last four races of the season".

"Now it is up to us to get the most out of our package and get a lot of points in those races. It's going to be a busy time with four races in five weeks and we haven't had a triple-header in a while, so it's going to be a last show of strength to get this over with. This has been a season like no other and we are enormously grateful to everyone at the factory and along the track for producing such a strong car and maximising it," Szafnauer concluded.
