In terms of three biggest team bosses in Formula 1, Mattia Binotto is the relative newcomer with Ferrari. Under his leadership, Ferrari are now experiencing its worst season in times.

Toto Wolff couldn't resist rubbing that in earlier this season. He said Ferrari's poor results were a direct result of foul play a year earlier and he held Mattia Binotto personally responsible for that. Binotto is therefore asked whether the two team bosses hate each other.

Healthy rivalry between Wolff and Binotto

"Do we hate each other?", is the question repeated by Binotto in an interview with Sky Italia. "In sporting terms, he is my main opponent who has been winning for many years. But it is not hate. There is respect and a desire to beat him, but not necessarily to beat Toto and Mercedes. It is to bring Ferrari back to the top, the place where it deserves to be".

So Binotto keeps it friendly, but Ferrari don't mind handing out tease. When Wolff was nominated to succeed Chase Carey at Liberty Media earlier this season, the Scuderia used their infamous veto to stop it.
