Alexander Albon is under increasing pressure at Red Bull Racing. The Thai got a chance in Formula 1, but after two seasons his time in the pinnacle of motorsport could come to an end.

End for Albon

Albon has been under pressure the whole season and despite a podium at Mugello, is still under scrutiny. Max Verstappen has beaten him comfortably for most of the season. Allard Kalff doesn't expect the current Red Bull driver to be given another chance.

"Albon will no longer be given a second chance. I would say to him that he should enjoy his last matches, because after December 14 it will be over. Everything now shows that he wants it and that's exactly why it goes wrong," said Allard Kalff at RTL GP Slipstream. Kalff himself has a successor in mind.

Verstappen too good

"I am a fan of Nico Hulkenberg. I would like to see him there. I definitely wouldn't go for Sergio Perez . What did he show then? Hulkenberg has won races throughout his career, but not in F1. Perez was sometimes on the podium, but that was more luck than wisdom,'' said the presenter.

According to Kees van de Grint we don't have to expect too much from a new teammate.

"It is not possible to improve the performance of Verstappen. The biggest problem is that car. If the car is easier to drive, Albon can also follow the pace. Verstappen simply gets too much out of that car. Perhaps Hulkenberg is then mentally stronger because he doesn't have to prove anything anymore. A podium is a bonus for him and he might even provide stability," concluded Bridgestone's former tyre expert.
