Lando Norris is not only creating a furore on the track, but McLaren's young driver is also showing a lot next to it. The Brit is streaming his games on Twitch, a streaming platform. Fairly innocent, you would say, but Norris was taken offline yesterday by an angry FIA.

During the lockdown period he started streaming games on Twitch. It was a good way for him to get in touch with fans. He quickly became popular on the platform, where he played games such as F1 2020 and Call of Duty. Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, George Russell and Alexander Albon also joined him from time to time. Norris must have thought yesterday after his free Friday: let me go play some games and stream that, but it ended differently than he had hoped.

"F1 is not happy"

Norris and his teammate Carlos Sainz had only been streaming for eight minutes when they were kindly asked to stop by their own team McLaren. Someone entered the room where the two men were sitting and said that the "F1 was not so happy" with what they were doing. "What?", Norris asked in surprise. It is not made clear why the organization was not happy.

A few minutes later Sainz and Norris decide to stop and say goodbye to the viewers. In the background of the stream, something was said about 'broadcasting rights', which might get the drivers into trouble. However, it will only be a matter of time before Norris picks up its streams again.
