Max Verstappen is now known as a team-mate killer, especially since the departure of Daniel Ricciardo there is no one who can make things really difficult for him at Red Bull Racing. This year this is no different and Verstappen is crushing his team mate Alexander Albon.

The best data

Albon does not have an easy time with Verstappen. "Max is a blessing and a headache, because you are fighting against one of the fastest drivers today, if not the fastest. He goes to the limit all the time", the British Thai told Marca.com in Spain. He also sees the positive side of such a fast teammate. "You also have the best data to look at. It's very positive to be able to see that and improve yourself based on it.”

In terms of results, it doesn't lie. Albon has 64 points and Verstappen 128. In the mutual qualification duel it is 11-0. He thinks he can still gain a lot of experience. "I have experience in the sense that I've been there [at Red Bull Racing] for a year now, but in the overall sense of the word, I'm still learning and still updating.”

Withholding information

When asked whether Verstappen also withholds information, he indicates that he thinks that everyone at this level of motorsport is withholding things. "But at the same time, he doesn't hide anything. There is no political nature to him, not in the least. He's an open book. We talk openly about what we need in the car and it tends to go in the same direction, so it's positive in that sense.”
