Ferrari has enough talent to choose from, but the question is whether they have enough room? Mick Schumacher, Callum Ilott and Robert Shwartzman will have plenty of chances in Formula 2 and Formula 1 in 2020.

The Ferrari talents

Formula 2 is currently dominated by the talents of Ferrari. With Schumacher, Ilott and Schumacher, three of the talents are in the top five of the championship and all three also have a chance of winning the world title. Schumacher is the clear frontrunner and seems to be on his way to Alfa Romeo, but the other drivers still have a chance.

Ferrari is doing everything it can to give their drivers a platform to present themselves. Schumacher already got several moments in an old car from his father, but today (Wednesday) all three talents will get the chance to test at Fiorano in a Ferrari from 2018. Shwartzman was already on the track and later on Schumacher and Ilott will also make their meters.

During the Eifel Grand Prix Ilott and Schumacher will also get the chance to ride a first free practice session. Schumacher will do this for the team where he will probably ride in 2021, Alfa Romeo. Ilott is also an interesting option as number two in the F2 championship and he will be able to show himself at Haas.

Lots of competition

Shwartzman will have to wait for his chance this weekend, but Ferrari has already indicated that the Russian will drive a first free practice during the Grand Prix weekend in Abu Dhabi. For which team is not yet known, but Günther Steiner already indicated earlier this season that he is charmed by the young Prema driver.

Speedweek.com is now able to announce that the three drivers will get another chance. Ferrari has announced that the three drivers will be deployed during the test of Pirelli in Abu Dhabi, after the last Grand Prix. Ferrari has indicated that it does not yet know for whom the drivers will be driving, but that it is certain that they will be driving.

However, the three have competition for a seat in 2021, because with Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez on the market, the challenge of finding a seat has only increased. Kimi Raikkonen seems to be able to decide on his own future, but Antonio Giovinazzi, Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean will also have to fight in the coming weeks not to lose their seat to the new generation.
