Binotto already has low confidence in Ferrari updates Russia

Scuderia Ferrari will bring some updates to the Russian GP. They are only minor changes and Mattia Binotto knows in advance that it will make little difference. It will improve a little, but the overall picture remains bad.

Binotto has no confidence

Ferrari is hit hard by 2020 and has completely lost its top three position. The team is in sixth place in the constructors' championship and has only collected five points in the last three races. Some improvements will come to Russia this weekend.

Team boss Binotto does not seem to have much confidence in these updates beforehand. Crash.net quotes the Italian: "Small updates will be included, but they won't change the overall picture."

Ferrari focuses on 2021

"I think we are particularly lacking pace in the race," continues Binotto. "The tyres wear out far too fast for us. The upcoming updates won't change that yet."

"I think we need to look again at our projects with a view to 2021. I think it will take a little longer to solve the problems."

Once again, we cannot expect much from the Italian team this weekend.
