After seven years, the Nürburgring returns to the calendar. The Eifel Grand Prix of 2020 will return and that will not go unnoticed, as the circuit will welcome as many as 20,000 fans. The German authorities have approved this number on condition that the infection rate does not increase.

Many F1 fans welcome to Germany

A lucky accident for the German Grand Prix. The Eifel GP was added last minute to the 2020 F1 calendar. Many races were cancelled and moved because of the coronavirus. A detailed plan has now been drawn up around ticket sales, allowing a maximum of 20,000 fans to attend the German event.

Pre-sales and the cost of one ticket start at 199 euros on 22 September. Tickets for different stands will be sold in stages so that it will be possible to scale down as the corona infection rate increases, reports Motorsport.com.

Eifel GP affordable and safe for spectators

Circuit director Mirco Markfort further explains: "It is important to be able to offer tickets in different price categories in the first phase. Because of corona, we have to employ a huge amount of staff, so it's all a matter of cost."

"It is also important that we give fans both the opportunity to visit the race in an affordable and safe way." So if the infection rate does not increase further, a maximum of 20 000 tickets will be sold. Tickets are available via the official website of the Nürburgring.
