Lewis Hamilton has received a lot of criticism after making his statement about the death of Breonna Taylor, but can also be reassured about the investigation after support from Mercedes. That will not happen.

On Sunday Lewis Hamilton could be seen before and after the Tuscany Grand Prix with a new shirt. On the front it said 'arrest the policemen who killed Breonna Taylor' and on the back of the shirt there was a picture of the American woman, who was shot in her own house by policemen. Above the photo it said 'say her name'.

The FIA is not investigating anyway

On Monday, the Daily Mail came out with the news that the FIA had launched an investigation into Lewis' statement. The question is, is the statement not too political? Olav Mol (Dutch F1 commentator), for example, thought that Lewis had gone too far in this, but Mercedes points out that this is not political, but is about human rights.

Racefans.net, however, is now able to say that there will be no investigation by the FIA after all. What will be looked at, however, are the guidelines for what the drivers are allowed to wear before and after the race. Where Hamilton was shown with a 'Black Lives Matter' shirt during the last races, this would still have consequences for the guidelines of the FIA.
