New engine for Verstappen is not necessary despite failure at Monza

Max Verstappen dropped out at Monza for the second time this season and this time it was due to overheating of his engine. This overheating was caused by Verstappen being in a DRS train and after the restart it was pretty soon ready for the Dutchman, to his frustration. But at Mugello new lap, new chances and it turns out he will ride with the same engine.

No new engine

In case of engine problems, a new one can be considered, but Honda has indicated that this is not necessary. Interesting, as it also seems to get very hot in the third triple-header race. However, Honda is sure of its case, as Ted Kravitz indicated in the broadcast of Sky Sport F1.

"Verstappen recently said there was a problem with the power source in his car," said Kravitz, repeating earlier words from the Dutchman, but now with a rebuttal from Honda. "Honda then said that it was a result of overheating, so an engine change will not be necessary."

In other words: It's under control and Honda is confident that Verstappen won't run into problems again this weekend.
