The organization of the Grand Prix of Turkey hopes to welcome 100.00 fans. The race will make its return on November 15th after many years of absence.

The organizers were not sure at first whether the event would be open to spectators, but Vural Ak, the chairman of organizer Intercity, said at a press conference on Tuesday that the public would be allowed in. Ak believes the circuit could easily welcome 100,000 visitors, as it is located in a large, open space.

"We need to be prepared for anything," said Ak to autosport.com after being asked what they would do if the number of corona attacks in the region increased. "If the disease gets worse again than it is today, the race can go on without spectators. But we know the capacity of this circuit well. Normally we can greet 220,000 spectators."

Ticket prices are over the counter for 30 Turkish Lira (about 3.50 euros). The organizer says they would rather go for a successful Grand Prix instead of maximizing profits. "Formula 1 normally has certain standards about the prices of the tickets. But the government has urged us to let that go".
