Ferrari-team boss Mattia Binotto thinks that abolishing party fashion for qualifying could shake up the grid in the upcoming race in Monza. He thinks this could help his team.

The FIA's new rule to curb the party mode should ensure that all teams become more equal. It also aims to ensure that no team has an unfair advantage over the other teams in qualifying.

Binotto is hopeful for the race next weekend in Monza, he tells Motorsport.com. "I will be curious to which teams are affected. I think it will be interesting in that aspect. It is a circuit that is high power sensitive and eventually the balance of competitiveness in the car itself can change, so for Monza I think that technical directive could affect it the most.

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is also curious about the effects of the new rule, especially considering main rival Mercedes that the team from Austria was still too fast in qualifying every race this season. “It will have some effect, but whether that's next week or during the next couple of weeks, let's see."
