Sebastian Vettel is one of the few drivers in Formula 1 who does not have a manager. The Ferrari driver takes care of almost everything himself, but there are some open doubts as to whether this is wise. There is a lot of politics going on in the pinnacle of motorsport and the question is whether Vettel wants to and can take care of it.

The German maintains his position that he can handle it himself. "It's a good question", he answers when asked by Ralf Schumacher of Sky Sport if it's not wise to take someone in his arms for once who can take care of certain things for him. "Some people come and go. There are many who give you a pat on the back but criticize you a few weeks later. Of course, you always have people around you who support you".

Vettel doesn't want to be dependent on others

Vettel continues his story: "But I think that more important than perhaps creating public opinion or sentiment is knowing which people you can trust and on which people you can rely. I'm still in a good mood and it's pretty clear in my head. I have never really been concerned with the external perception, what people think and say. Thank God. I don't follow everything that is said and written," says the 33 year old driver.

For 2021, Vettel still has to find a spot now that Carlos Sainz is replacing him at Ferrari. He is reported to be able to sign a multi-year commitment at Racing Point. Vettel is also negotiating this himself.
