The first two triple-headers of the season are finished and it is Mercedes that proudly leads the constructors' world championship. The German team has already been the best team in Formula 1 for the past six years and there is a very good chance that a seventh title in a row will be won. The gap with Red Bull Racing has widened again after the Spanish Grand Prix.

Thanks to the victory of Lewis Hamilton and the podium finish of Valtteri Bottas, along with Bottas' fastest lap, the team was able to add 41 points to the standings. Red Bull scored only 22 points despite the second place of Max Verstappen. This has everything to do with Alexander Albon's disappointing eighth place on the Barcelona circuit.

Mercedes currently stands at 221 points, followed by Red Bull with 135 points. The margin to number three in the rankings remained exactly the same. Racing Point also scored 22 points, bringing it to 78 points. Behind that it is McLaren that in 2020 managed to score one point more than Ferrari so far.

However, if Racing Point's 15 point deduction stands, they will sit on 63 points, but that is enough to maintain P3 in the standings.
