Max Verstappen will get a new engine before the Spanish Grand Prix. The Dutchman of Red Bull Racing will get an old engine, which falls within the pool of the team. Honda found some anomalies, which resulted in the engine being replaced under parc ferme. There is no penalty attached.

Motorsport.com manages to report that the Dutchman gets an old engine, turbo, MGU-H and MGU-K. A spokesman for Red Bull Racing said to Motorsport.com. "After discovering an anomaly in Max's PU data, we decided it would be best to put a previously used PU in the car for the race. We have received permission to do so from the FIA."

Replacing multiple parts

There were clearly things not right about the car of Verstappen, as a number of other parts have been replaced as well. The left chassis loom, the brake-by-wire unit and the left and right axel ends have also been changed. There is no penalty attached to the changes, in spite of the parc ferme rules. So the race will still start from P3.
