Max Verstappen will start the Grand Prix today from fourth place. The Red Bull Racing driver says it shouldn't be a problem to overtake Nico Hülkenberg's Racing Point, but says it will be difficult to stay with the Mercedes after that.

Giving it everything

"We had a few little things that didn’t go well in qualifying. But today I don’t think that should be a problem. We should be getting past the Racing Point and do our own race. I don’t think we can fight with Mercedes, but I’ll try to be as close as possible", said Verstappen against Formula 1 prior to the Grand Prix.

No win last week

Verstappen had a chance to win the British Grand Prix last week, but due to the pit stop he made just before the blowout of Lewis Hamilton he didn't make it first. Verstappen thinks it might be a good thing they didn't win the race.

"I didn’t really think about it, even if we won the race and I would be standing here as a winner. But it wouldn’t feel that amazing because we’re still to slow. So maybe it’s a good thing that we didn’t win. Stay with two feet on the ground and keep pushing", concludes Verstappen.
