Charles Leclerc will start Formula 1's 70th Anniversary Grand Prix from 8th on the grid for the second race at Silverstone this season. The Ferrari driver is not surprised with the result and says the team is struggling even more with the tyre than last week.

No surprise

“Surprised? No. It's a bit more of a realistic picture for us to be honest, but we have been struggling more here than last week," Leclerc told Sky Sports F1.

“Especially with the softer tyres and we seem to be a bit more aggressive on them. We are unable to finish the full lap in Q3 with the soft tyres. They are dropping off quite a lot in the last sector and loosing a lot of lap time. There is not much we can do now," the Ferrari driver continues.

A lot of effort tomorrow

“The strategy could be one thing, but we shouldn't expect a podium here to be honest. I expect us to struggle tomorrow seeing our weakness to manage the tyres and seeing the degradation we have. It's going to be difficult," concludes the man from Monaco.
