Romain Grosjean received an official warning from the stewards for 'moving under braking' during the British Grand Prix at Silverstone last Sunday. However, the Frenchman said he didn't regret his actions and Daniel Ricciardo got it in the wrong throat. The Renault driver is very clear in his words.

In conversation with Autosport.com the driver from Perth will let you know. "Romain has been around long enough, I didn't want to go in and educate him, he should know by now what he's doing. It's not only me that is in danger with a late-move and a reaction, but maybe I break my front wing, but likely that you get a puncture, so it's really bad for both of us in that scenario."

Ricciardo suspects he's supported

Ricciardo goes on to say that he will discuss the situation next week when the Formula 1 will be racing again in Great Britain. "We'll probably bring it up in the next drivers' meeting next week, just to get the other views", he says. "But I'm sure everyone is on board, it was just a little too late."

The rule that you can only move off your line once during braking was introduced a few years ago when Max Verstappen discovered it was a very effective way of defending. Since then it's also called the 'Verstappen rule'. "I felt like we had moved on from that. Behaviour has been pretty good from memory, for the most part, the last few years."
