Corriere della Sera says that they have information about the 2019 Ferrari engine. The Italian medium says that there has been espionage with the team from Maranello, otherwise there would not be sufficient evidence to make a claim. It is suggested that the information about Ferrari has not been collected completely legally.

Espionage story behind the problems

"There's a spy story behind the problems at Ferrari right now. Triggered by Charles Leclerc's victory at Monza. After this the competition went after the Ferrari engine", says Giogio Terruzzi, journalist of Corriere della Sera.

According to Terruzzi, a spy operation took place with a Ferrari insider who contributed to the investigation. The journalist has doubts about the way in which Ferrari received information and whether this was done legally.

FIA can't do anything about it

Ferrari was finally found not guilty. According to Terruzzi, this is due to the fact that the FIA does not have enough material to conduct a thorough investigation. "In addition, the FIA knows that all engine manufacturers are playing on the limit, while they want to risk as little as possible. That's why no irregularities were found at Ferrari."

"According to many insiders, Ferrari is the only 'neat' engine used", says Terruzzi. "It takes evidence to challenge such an offence. This can only be done through espionage or a whistleblower."
