Alexander Wurz analyses Max Verstappen's mistake on his way to the grid. The Austrian informs ORF that such an error can happen to the best of us. Verstappen parked his RB16 in the pile of tyres just before the start of the race, but his mechanics were able to repair the car in time for the Grand Prix.

No idea where the grip was

"He was on his way to the grid and had no idea where there was grip", Wurz explains as he quotes the footage from Verstappen. "He was driving on the intermediate tyres and the track was still too wet. You can see he wanted to correct but the front axle was stuck."

"From then on, you have to get off the brakes and you have no control over your car at all. He had so little grip. It's so easy to lose control of the steering wheel that even one of the best drivers in the world becomes a passenger in his car", the Austrian concludes.
