Toyoharu Tanabe has given an update about the problems with the Honda engine. Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon both didn't make it to the finish in Austria, but no permanent damage occurred. As a result, no engine components need to be replaced.

"The problems of the Red Bull Racing cars in the last race were both electronic in nature, caused by several problems", Honda said ahead of next weekend's Styrian Grand Prix. Together with Red Bull, the Japanese engine supplier has come up with solutions. "Both problems have been analysed and measures have been taken in consultation with the team".

Tanabe states that no permanent damage has been found at the power units of Verstappen and Albon. "The power units have sustained no damage, allowing Max and Alex to use the same engines as last week."

This weekend the Red Bull Ring will be driven by Formula 1 again. To keep a chance of winning the world title Verstappen will have to finish on the podium, as the gap to Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas is already considerable after Sunday's DNF.
