The Grand Prix of Austria 2019 has already become a modern classic a year later. That was not only because of the beautiful overtaking race of Max Verstappen, but also because of the man he had to beat in the last few laps: Charles Leclerc.

Leclerc achieved his second pole position of his career on the Red Bull Ring last year and was in the front row together with Verstappen. After a bad start by the Dutchman, he seemed to be whistling for victory when the Red Bull appeared in his mirrors a few laps before the end.

He did lose that fight, but it was a successful period for both him and Ferrari. In the next eight races he took pole five times and won two races. At that stage the SF90 was widely regarded as the fastest car on the field. This came to an end from the United States Grand Prix and in the new season that doesn't seem to have been resolved.

Ferrari is going to try something new in Hungary

"We still have questions about our exact speed, so we have to wait for qualifying to be absolutely sure of what we're saying, but we're 99 percent sure we'll have more trouble than last year," said the Monegask to Crash.net and others at the Red Bull Ring.

Leclerc says the team was not helped by the coronavirus, which caused the factory to close for a long time. In Maranello they are now busy looking for a solution and for the Hungarian Grand Prix Leclerc announces that they have gone in a different direction.
