In the run-up to the Austrian Grand Prix it is mainly about Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and sometimes a little bit about Valtteri Bottas. However, Alexander Albon also has a fast car and is looking forward to the start of the Formula 1 season.

Albon also has a chance

For Albon, 2019 was a year to remember. From no place in motorsport to a spot in Formula 1 at Toro Rosso, to be promoted to Red Bull Racing halfway through the season. The Thai couldn't join Verstappen right away, but he did reach a level where Red Bull would give him the chance again for 2020.

''I feel good, but every driver will have some uncertainty now. You haven't raced for a long time and I'm glad I was able to do the filming day to get a little feeling with the car. We've all been really looking forward to this and after a long break I can't wait to race again," Albon says in the preview of Red Bull.

Winter tests no longer relevant

Where one mainly looks at Verstappen, Albon is also in a good car. During the winter tests the Red Bull was almost as fast as the Mercedes and they had at least distanced themselves from Ferrari. With such a car under him, Albon should be able to achieve nice results, although he doesn't want to cheer too fast.

''The winter tests are already irrelevant. You don't know where teams are at the moment, although we all have a global idea. It's going to go up and down a lot this season and the fact that we've all closed down has consequences for the progress of the teams'', concludes the team mate of Verstappen.
