Alfa Romeo feels no pressure: "Take decision on 2021 drivers at that moment"

In the last few weeks there were no Grands Prix in Formula 1, but the teams did not sit still. For example, transfers of Daniel Ricciardo and Carlos Sainz were announced at McLaren and Ferrari respectively. Many teams already know the 2021 line-up, but Alfa Romeo Racing is waiting with the announcements for the time being.

"We're in a different situation. We always make our decisions between October and November. We will not change that", Vasseur talks to Auto, Motor und Sport. The focus is now on more important matters. "I want us to focus on the races first. We have to deliver this year because it's important for next year because of the prize money."

The team boss of the Italian race stable doesn't want to pay too much attention to it. "We shouldn't waste energy on it. We are satisfied with our riders and have confidence in them. Antonio Giovinazzi is improving. He has had a good second half of the year in 2019. We will definitely have a good riding duo again in 2021. We'll talk about that later. Now is not the time", the Frenchman is clear.
