Formula 1 already announced on Tuesday that six new real-time graphics will be added to the live broadcast of sessions on the track in 2020 and is now giving further explanations.

The new graphics

On Tuesday it was announced that the Formula 1 will introduce six new graphics step by step, each of which should add something to the viewer experience of the fan. For example, we will see statistics that compare the speed of current drivers with that of the past, we will see differences in the curves and the drivers will also get a so-called 'Skill Rating'.

In addition to these, we will also see the development of the team and the car, as well as the prediction of qualifying and race pace. The man behind these ideas is former Formula 1 engineer Rob Smedley. The former collaborator of Ferrari and Williams is only too happy with the new graphics.

''In the past two years, Formula 1 has embraced Amazon Web Services as a platform to get even better data visibility. We want to bring the insights of Formula 1 more to the fans so that they can get a better view behind the scenes of the Formula 1 garage and the statistics on the pit wall," says Smedley at Formula1.com.

''We are excited to be able to expand our data and also very happy with the successful relationship with Amazon. In this way we can offer fans even more, allowing them to compare drivers and teams even better'', concludes the Formula 1 Data Systems Director.
