A wise lesson for the marshals: "Never touch Raikkonen''

Kimi Raikkonen is the friendliest man when it comes to his wife, children or family, but you shouldn't go to the Finn. That's what Heikki Kulta tells in conversation with the official Formula 1 Magazine.

''My first lesson I learned with Kimi that he didn't want people coming near him was during a training session in Monaco in 2002. I'm having coffee with Kimi's father when Kimi puts his McLaren in the wall. Marshals run to the scene of the crash and Kimi's father says right away, 'now there are problems''', Hulta remembers.

Don't touch Kimi

"Kimi doesn't like strangers touching him and that happens all the time. A few years later a similar situation arises when Kimi fights for victory in Germany. He flies backwards into the wall, but reacts furious when the marshals try to help him. Where at first people think it's the emotion of the lost victory, afterwards it turns out that Kimi really knew what he was doing''.

The highlight is yet to come, according to Hulta, when Kimi conquers the world title in 2007 and team boss of Ferrari, Jean Todt, wants to give him a hug on the podium. ''The closer Jean came, the further Raikkonen came off the podium, although it was questionable to what extent Todt played with this or was really happy with it'', concludes Hulta.
