Where football matches are still played without fans, IndyCar goes for a unique one. The two Grands Prix on Road America will be held with an audience and those races are already next month.

Where Formula 1 finally starts the season in July, IndyCar already has one race to go and follows number two on the weekend of the first Formula 1 race. However, during the third and fourth races the American Championship wants more, because then fans will have to be admitted to the circuit again.

Fans to the circuit

Not only for the races on Road America (11the and 12th of July), but also the races on the Iowa Speedway (17th and 18th of July) will be held with fans. The question is whether, with the coronavirus in mind, this is not a risk taken unnecessarily prematurely, but the American Championship is convinced that it can organize this safely.

A limited number of people will be admitted to the stands, as a distance of one and a half meters has to be kept at all times. In addition, all people will be checked on temperature at entrance and only the essential staff will have access to the paddock.

Ticket sales will start on the 26the of June and tickets for the first open event for fans will not be expensive. A ticket for the race on Sunday costs 17 dollars, converted over 13 pound.
