Since the death of George Floyd in the American city of Minneapolis became international news and breathed new life into the Black Lives Matter movement, Lewis Hamilton has advocated for this cause on Twitter several times. For the time being, he continues that fight.

In addition to expressions of support for Black Lives Matter and the call for fair treatment for blacks by police in the United States, Hamilton has also denounced the lack of black people in Formula 1 in his earlier posts. Last weekend he supported activists who pulled statues with a racist undertone from their pedestal. The fact that he seemed to call on them to continue with this, meant he received a lot of critisism.

The latter does not prevent the Mercedes driver from continuing the fight against racism. So on Thursday, he posted quite a thread on Twitter in which he shares the petitions for justice for the deaths of several black Americans and urges his followers to donate.

Finally, he added a list of books and films that he recommends if you want to know more about racism against blacks. "For those who are looking for ways to support, I have provided information about petitions you can sign, as well as some books and movies to learn more about the black experience. For the next generation, this education in black history should start at school."
