'Latifi family main bidder for Williams takeover'

The famous English team is having a hard time and is on sale. They are looking for a buyer. However, the main candidate is an acquaintance of the English, namely the father of driver Nicholas Latifi.

Frank Williams will watch it with members' eyes, the demise of his team. The downward spiral started a few years ago on the circuit and has now translated into the financial books. According to La Gazetta dello Sport there are several hijackers on the coast for the English team. Since the financial regulations have been changed a lot, Formula 1 seems to be a serious option for many more parties.

Michael Latifi

The wealthy father of Williams driver Nicholas Latifi is an important candidate. After all, the best man has already lent 22 million euros to the aid the financially struggeling team. According to the Italian newspaper, Michael Latifi is a multimillionaire who would like to deposit 135 million. He would not only do that for his son, but he sees the royal class of motorsport as an interesting and good investment.

Should the Canadian do so, he would follow in the footsteps of a fellow countryman. Lawrence Stroll, the father of the Canadian driver Lance Stroll,  is co-owner of Racing Point and Aston Martin.

Other candidates

Not only the Latifi family would be interested in the team that has been managed by Claire Williams for several years now. Another multimillionaire who has already made an offer at Racing Point is also standing in line. Dimitry Mazapin. After the failed deal with Racing Point, the Russian businessman is still hoping to buy a Formula 1 team.

Last but not least is the name of Chanoch Nissany, an Israeli racing driver who also has a racing son who is currently a test driver at Williams. The Italians claim that Nissany is financially supported by the Israeli government. As soon as they take control of Williams, there is a good chance that a seat at the race stable will be given to son Roy Nissany.
