Helmut Marko suggested earlier that the Austrian Grand Prix can also be organised for a limited number of fans. However, the Austrian Minister of Sport now whistles back the top man of Red Bull Racing.

''I don't think the Minister of Health is currently planning such large events for the public. As far as I'm concerned, that would be new and no major privileges will be granted to certain groups'', says Austrian Minister Werner Kogler in a press conference.

No fans in Austria

For now there are two Grands Prix of Austria planned for the start of the season. The teams will then be quarantined and kept well apart. In addition, the teams will also come to the circuit with a lot less staff, so the chance of spreading the virus is reduced.

However, the question now is where Formula 1 should go when the two races have been in Austria. Silverstone seemed to be the most logical option, but a new regulation of the British government that ensures that travellers from abroad first have to spend fourteen days in quarantine, makes it almost impossible to go there with the Formula 1 circus.
