So far only three Grands Prix have been formally cancelled: Australia, Monaco and France will not hold a race in 2020. According to the following rumours, three more races will be added, including the Dutch Grand Prix.

New calendar

This has everything to do with the coronavirus. According to the latest rumors of Motorsport-Total.com, Canada and Singapore will not get a place on the revisited calendar either. The official cancellation will be released soon.

Formula 1 mainly takes into account the corona situation per host country. In the Netherlands, for example, sports competitions are prohibited until 1 September. In addition, commercial conditions also play an important role. Some circuits are paid for a Grand Prix behind closed doors. In the case of overseas competitions, the organisers are expected to pay at least part of the original amount.

No GP without an audience

For Singapore and Canada both are street circuits and it is difficult to find another place for a Grand Prix than the original date. Zandvoort does not want to hold its first event in front of empty bleachers. Hockenheim is mentioned as a possible alternative of the race.
