The plan of Formula 1 to organise the Austrian Grand Prix at the end of the season can count on a lot of support, but it also gets a lot of criticism. For example, people in Austria itself are not too happy.

"That bubble they're supposed to live in sounds too good to be true. In my opinion there will still be a high risk of contagion of people in the region and I don't have those worries alone. I receive a lot of emails from people who are worried about this and it doesn't seem feasible for local people not to come into contact with people from Formula 1'', says Karl Arbesser.

Two sides of the story

Arbesser has been an opponent of racing events in Spielberg for some time now and still does not hide his opinion. ''It's not about the money, it's about safety. We want information about the measures F1 is taking to make this happen'', concludes Arbesser versus ORF Sport +. However, Arbesser does not get support from all corners, because the local sports minister speaks positively about Formula 1.

''The focus is on health and everything is arranged in close consultation with the government and health organizations. I believe Formula 1 will be ideal for this, but you never know if it will be a success. However, I do think that we can start in July and would be very happy if we could'', Christopher Drexler concludes.
