The British government announced on Monday that it will once again allow sporting events without an audience from the 1st of June. The Grand Prix on 19 July at the Silverstone circuit is therefore another step closer.

The Sky Sports F1 team is therefore optimistic about the near start of the season this summer. Although there are still doubts about the measure that everyone entering the country should be quarantined for a fortnight.

"I think this is a good sign. As far as the fourteen days quarantine is concerned, we just have to see what the situation will be like in July. It is only May 11th and that will change in the coming weeks", is the first reaction of Karun Chandhok. His optimism is shared by Johnny Herbert.

Watch Premier League well

"It looks like everyone [within Formula 1] is coming together, and that's refreshing for me to see. Wherever and whenever those races are going to take place, we all know how organised Formula 1 is and that's why they can change their plans at the last minute. In the end, everyone wants to race again."

In the same conversation, it is suggested to first take a good look at the Premier League and see if the restart of their season goes without too many problems. The English Football League will want to start as soon as possible after June 1 and thus has about a month's head start on Formula 1.
