The virtual Grand Prix of Spain was held yesterday with six Formula 1 drivers at the start and many other famous names. However, the top of F1 showed who is the boss on the race track.

During qualifying at the circuit in Barcelona it was the George Russell who took off with the pole. The British driver was also on pole at Interlagos, but lost his chance of victory due to a spin at the start. This time he had to do better, with Esteban Gutierrez and Charles Leclerc right behind him. Alexander Albon had to settle for the fifth spot on the grid and Lando Norris could only be found at P8.

Profit for Russell

During the race things didn't go much better for Norris, because after a bad start he was soon behind and would give up after seven laps. Things went a little better for the other Brit. This time Russell managed to turn his pole into a victory, despite the pressure of number two Leclerc, who, like Russell, suffered a five-second penalty just before the end of the race. Esteban Gutierrez was the last man on the podium.

Albon was unable to continue his winning series and had to settle for fourth place, in front of Nicholas Latifi. Debutant Sergio Agüero did not yet manage to score for Red Bull Racing. The world striker from Manchester City took the place of Max Verstappen, but didn't get any further than P14.
