Sebastian Vettel talked about how Ferrari works in Formula 1. The 32-year-old driver talks about the passion that is evident among the staff and also addresses the criticisms that the team occasionally have to endure when it comes to the philosophy of working.

"The strength of this team is the passion for Ferrari," says Vettel in conversation with Autosport.com. The four-time world champion is that passion of fundamental importance to the Maranello-based race stable. "I think that's what thrives people coming in and going out every day. I think it's really the legend and the myth of this brand. And to become a part of that history."

Compared to the Italian Formula 1 team AlphaTauri, Ferrari is much more 'Italian'. "It's very Italian inside, has very Italian rules and traditions, which is great, that they are kept, but equally it's very modern", said Vettel in the interview. The people are still very, very forward thinking and I think we have a lot of young great talents in the team, great people with great ideas, creative ideas."

Vettel on critics

That's why Vettel regrets that the team hasn't been able to win a world championship in recent years. "That's why in a way it's a shame that we haven't, you know - in terms of results - haven't had that breakthrough yet," said the German, who can't blame Ferrari for being too traditional or too Italian. "I think sometimes also this is misunderstood, because you look at Italy to say that they are very traditional with lots of things and 'la mamma' and all this, whatever."
