Formula 1 is busy working on a calendar so that the season can start, but not everyone agrees. For example, Paul Hembery is not happy with the plans.

The F1 would like to start again at the beginning of July with the Austrian Grand Prix, and then cram as many races as possible in 2020. The goal is fifteen to eighteen races, but the former boss of Pirelli does not agree at all. According to Hembery it is bizarre that Formula 1 is trying at all.

No Formula 1 for the time being

''How can Formula 1 plan so much, while there are still so many unknown factors. There is no travel traffic within Europe, so if you want to organize races in July then you are crazy. The statement should have been that the season has been cancelled because, as in any company, it is about money and survival and F1 is certainly not immune'', says Hembery to Marca.

Australia should have been a warning in that respect, says Hembery. ''Formula 1 is a huge sport that also employs thousands of people behind closed doors. In Australia they have just escaped, but they can't race again until there is a vaccine. For the time being we are a long way from that, and F1 also realizes that this calendar is not feasible'', concludes Hembery little positive.
