One of the main drivers for the start of the Formula 1 season is perhaps the Red Bull Racing team. Max Verstappen and his team already wanted to race in Australia and are now doing everything they can to be able to race as fast as possible.

''Red Bull wants a season start as soon as possible and puts a lot of energy into it to get the first race started in Austria, It is a circuit managed by Red Bull, so together with the local authorities and the government we can make the plans. So the tests will be very strict, but if that can make the sport start again, that's what we're talking about," says Christian Horner in conversation with Autosport.com.

Austria as an example

''The plans for Austria serve as a blueprint for the other races. Once we start again, it will be with small teams that all stay in the same hotel. They will have to travel together and teams will not get in touch with each other and also the local people will be kept at a distance''.

According to Horner, a start is feasible in the short term. ''It won't be a Grand Prix like we are used to, but we are a racing team and need a championship to race in. I can't imagine we won't be racing this year. We have gathered quite some momentum in recent weeks and we have several scenarios in mind to be able to start'', concludes Horner, who does not see a scenario where there will be no racing in 2020.
