The British Grand Prix was held without an audience and the French Grand Prix was cancelled, but Formula 1 seems to be coming anyway. With the plans of Chase Carey on the table, a new calendar can be formed.

The news didn't seem to start too positively on Monday morning, with the announcement that the public is not welcome at Silverstone and that the Grand Prix of France has also been cancelled. However, Chase Carey quickly followed with his own statement and that suddenly offers a lot of hope for the Formula 1 followers.

Still a Formula 1 season

According to Carey, a season of fifteen to eighteen races is still feasible. The goal is still to start at the beginning of July in Austria and continue the rest of the month in Europe. Here, however, as at Silverstone, will be ridden without an audience. After Europe, volt Asia, America and finally the Middle East.

How will this look like? Of course the question remains which Grands Prix will fit in the plan of F1, but some circuits will look like the milestones of the calendar. Where a race at Zandvoort doesn't seem feasible, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza and the Hungaroring might have a better chance.
