Eight Grands Prix have already been postponed or even cancelled for the 2020 Formula 1 season and soon just one could be added, because the British Grand Prix is also in danger for this season.

Motorsport in the UK has tightened the regulations. Where major (sports) events would not take place until the end of April, this has now been extended to the end of June. Because of this, several circuits are already in trouble, because in that period different entry classes would have their races.

British races are doomed

For example, national Formula 3 and Formula 4 championships now have to postpone their races. In the BRDC British Formula 3 the races in Snetterton, Silverstone and Donington Park that would be held in that period would be cancelled. In British Formula 4, three races have also been cancelled. England is not the only country that has taken this measure. Italy also stopped every major event untill the the end of June.

With the end of June in mind the British Grand Prix is coming very close. This will be organised halfway July and could disappear from the calendar if further measures are taken.
