Vietnam GP organisers looking to announce new date for their race soon!

The organisers of the postponed Vietnam Grand Prix hope to have a new date for the race sorted within the next two months, after it was delayed following the coronavirus outbreak. The first four races of the F1 season have been scrapped, with further races looking like they also may bite the dust.

Vietnam was supposed to host its first ever Grand Prix in 2020, with plenty of hype surrounding the brand new circuit.

However, it will have to wait for later in the season, or even next year before it gets its first showing.

The organisers of the race said in a statement: “Currently the Hanoi People’s Committee and Vietnam Grand Prix LLC are working tirelessly with F1, FIA and all relevant parties to find the best possible course for the event to ensure the safety of all participants."

Already purchased tickets “remain fully valid along with their available benefits and will be automatically updated to the new 2020 race schedule when announced. We hope to have a new date within one to two months based on the official reschedule date announced by the FIA and F1.”
