Ross Brawn has two solutions for a full F1 world championship in 2020

The first four races of the 2020 Formula 1 season will not happen on time due to the coronavirus outbreak. Motorsport boss Ross Brawn is confident he can solve the problems and give fans a near full world championship. 

Brawn has two options to solve the issues. As it stands, there's no racing scheduled until late May, which could mean the start of the season will be in Monaco or Baku. His first option is to remove the summer break and race through. He would suggest that Grands Prix weekends will be reduced to two days instead of three. 

"I think that by clearing the summer break we will give ourselves a few weekends where we can have a race," Brawn informed Sky Sports F1. 

"It will look different, but it will still keep a good number of races, and they are exciting races. So the season starts later, but I think it will be just as entertaining."

Martin Brundle, who works as a commentator for Sky Sports, said he is hopeful of having around 18 Grands Prix as he thinks about the fans entertainment.

Tripleheader

"I am quite optimistic that we can have a championship of at least seventeen to eighteen races. I think we can fit them in. But it depends on when the season will start," Brawn continued. 

In 2018, F1 added a triple header to the calendar for the first time. While it was popular amongst fans, it stretched teams who said it will only be possible in Europe. To reduce the strain, Brawn said F1 might remove the Friday in this instance.
