Bahrain suspend travel by foreign nationals amid coronavirus outbreak

The Chinese Grand Prix has already been postponed but the calendar could have another victim due to the coronavirus. The government of Bahrain have confirmed that they are limiting access to people who have visited countries that have been badly affected.

Coronavirus has been sweeping the globe and it has been affecting sports including football, rugby and various motorsport events. The Chinese E Prix has been cancelled and the F1 Grand Prix has been postponed.

Bahrain is the second race on the Formula 1 calendar but there have been suggestions that the Dutch Grand Prix could open the season.

On Twitter F1 journalist, Chris Medland pointed out the stance of the Bahrain Government. The new revelations could be a problem for Ferrari, Alpha Tauri and Pirelli all of which are based in Italy, the worst affected country in Europe.
